The dining room at Golden West Senior Living took a step back in time on Monday afternoon to honor its residents who have served in the military.
To recognize its veterans, or residents with family members who served, Boulder-based Golden West Senior Living pulled out all the stops for a United Service Organization-inspired party.
Inside the dining room there were red, white and blue streamers, music from the 40s, photos of veterans on every table, and a home-cooked meal of meatloaf, mashed potatoes and jello.

“This was the first time we did something like this,” said Director of Resident Programs, Jill Moore. “I wanted to do something fun for them.”
